Wade suspended, Sessions up-ended

Dwyane Wade has been suspended for one game by the NBA for landing an unceremonious kick to the nuts on Charlotte’s Ramon Sessions. While Wade and the Miami Heat pleaded with the league for leniency, the suspension was handed down regardless. The Heat referred to Wade’s 10-year record as being “an exemplary player and positive influence” in their dispute of the ruling.

Wade missed Miami’s game in Detroit yesterday, which the Heat lost by 10.

It’s been somewhat of a fall from grace for Sessions over the past 12 months. He was the starting point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers last season in what he called “a dream come true”. Since then, not only has he relocated to the Charlotte Bobcats but now he’s had a size 15 Li-Ning stuffed into the front of his shorts.

Tough break, kid.
