Smoke ‘Em – December 2, 2012
We’re back today with a new instalment of Smoke ‘Em. Paul and Ryan continue to try and figure out who can pick more accurately from today’s schedule of NBA games. Yesterday was a humbling experience for the once dominant (well, 1-0) Ryan who underestimated Dwight Howard’s dominance and Antawn Jamison’s once-in-a-lifetime scoring prowess.
Ryan’s ‘Lakers 1-10′ tip dissolved before his eyes as LA defeated Denver by 19. Paul proceeded to bask in gambling glory securing a victory thanks to the Memphis Grizzlies. Paul tipped an 11+ win and the Grizz didn’t disappoint, racing away to a convincing yet sweat-inducing 12 point win.
Ryan – $5.00 on for a loss. Balance = $304.00
Paul – $5.00 on for a $9.10 win. Balance = $304.10
Paul - Los Angeles Clippers (H) to beat Sacramento by 11+ points. (Odds = $2.00)
The LA Clippers are getting solid contributions from around 10 players on a regular basis whereas Sacramento may or may not have one or two guys excel on any given night. Staples Center could well be reminiscent of a CSI murder scene after this game is completed. The Clippers could possibly win this game by 25+ let alone 11+.
Ryan - Miami (H) to beat Brooklyn by 1-10 points. (Odds = $2.50)
Miami are still yet to hit their straps, especially defensively and star point guards can really cause them trouble. Normally the cure would be to play Wade on the opposing point guard but with him at half speed that’s not going to happen today. Miami are still good enough to win but it won’t be a rout.
Ryan 1-1 (Balance = $299.00)
Paul 1-1 (Balance = $299.10)
