Oklahoma City have tied their best-of-seven Western Conference Finals series with the San Antonio Spurs after claiming a hard-fought 109-103 victory in Game 4 on Saturday night. Kevin Durant was sensational with 36 points, eight assists and 6 rebounds while Serge Ibaka posted a shooting night for the ages, recording a perfect 11-11 from the field for 26 points of his own.

Both teams had their chances in this game but it was “KD time” in the fourth as the 6’10 forward reeled of 16 straight OKC points, taking the game by the throat and leveling the series.

Kevin Durant was unstoppable in the fourth quarter of Game 4.

The San Antonio Spurs played an excellent game, getting double figure scoring contributions from six players and shooting a combined 50% from the field. The ball movement that had all basketball eyes fluttering in the first two games however was lacking, with the Spurs only recording 17 assists for the game.

A tied series is one thing but the Thunder must win in San Antonio during this series to advance and a Game 7 win historically is very difficult for the road team.

The Spurs must respond at home while the Thunder can take control of the series in arguably the most important road game of their OKC existence.

Game 5 will be huge.
