When it comes to sports metaphors and housework, we’ve all heard the term “wiping the floor with your opponent” as well as simply wiping a floor in general. Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder did both on Christmas Day in their 123-94 demolition of the Melo-less New York Knicks.
Showing off some pretty impressive home maintenance skills, Westbrook took charge late in the third quarter cleaning up the sweaty Madison Square Garden floor. He then went on to record a triple-double (14p, 13r, 10a) in the Thunder’s easy Christmas Day victory.
Bravo Russ, keeping the world and New York a cleaner and tidier place. We all know the Knicks have had trouble keeping the stink out of the Garden of late.
