The Miami Heat have advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second straight season, defeating the Indiana Pacers 105-93 in Game 6. Miami’s Dwyane Wade and LeBron James were simply unstoppable for the Heat, with Wade being the most noticeable on the box score accumulating 41 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals.
LeBron James was also extremely impressive putting together a stat line of 28 points, six rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
Indiana simply ran out of gas in this one, as the “Big 2″ of Miami imposed their will. The Pacers as always sported a balanced attack, this time led by David West who scored a team-high 24 points.
Miami will advance to play the winner of the Boston/Philadelphia series, which finishes up with a Game 7 on Saturday night.
If the Heat can continue to get contributions from their bench, they should expect to make a second straight trip to the NBA Finals. Chris Bosh is expected to return before too long, and will add a much needed post presence to Miami’s arsenal.
Miami do look flawed at times but when “on” look completely unstoppable. Bring on the Eastern Conference Finals.
