Carmelo Anthony turned on a magnificent performance against Nigeria last night scoring 37 points in just 14 minutes on court. Team USA routed Nigeria 156-73 helped largely by Anthony’s 10-12 from downtown.
Team USA made a total of 41 shots from beyond the arc, at a 63% strike rate nonetheless.
In truly one of the most spectacular individual performances in Olympic hoops history, Anthony will certainly have New York City tongues wagging as fans prepare for the upcoming Knicks season.
This is not to say that International hoops translates to NBA play but let’s face it, the Knicks fans are desperate.
