The NBA will play a total of eight pre-season games
Let’s face facts, the Los Angeles Clippers are going to be looking real nice when Opening Night rolls around. In the space of only a few days, the Clippers have re-signed franchise guy Chris Paul, introduced Doc Rivers as their Head Coach and brought in JJ Redick and Jared Dudley via trade.
While LA had to part company with Caron Butler and talented youngster Eric Bledsoe to get this deal done, they clearly got better overall. In Redick they now have a competent, decent-sized and potent shooting guard to compliment Paul. Dudley brings with him close to 450 made three-point baskets in his five year career at just over a 40% clip. He also brings a reputation as a likable locker room presence, which is always a good thing.
Dudley, originally from nearby San Diego was happy with the move…
I can't lie, I'm excited to play close to home!!! If I had to go to any team It would be the clippers!! Time to get work!!!

All in all it’s been a hectic but largely successful off-season so far for LA’s “other team”. That being said, the roles certainly seem to be reversed of late as the Lakers attempt to hang on to free agent Dwight Howard.
Whatever happens next, it seems likely that the Clippers are in “win now” mode.
