History: Pistons @ Warriors Dec 7, 1990

In another look back into the history books of the Warriors, I’ve found yet another very entertaining nugget of YouTube gold. This game is from December 7, 1990 and features the (mightier at the time) Detroit Pistons visiting the Oakland Colosseum.

Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Bill Laimbeer, Dennis Rodman, Mark Aguirre and Co. all visited and left the building with the loss, which in itself is delightful.

Watch for:

  • Rookie Tyrone Hill (presumably before he owed Charles Oakley money)
  • Bill Laimbeer’s face mask
  • Something, something, Tom Tolbert lighting bolts (?)
  • Alton Lister steamrolling John Salley
  • Current Indiana Pacers GM Kevin Pritchard doing his best Steph Curry impersonation
  • A patented Tim Hardaway “killer crossover”
  • White on white crime as Tom Tolbert takes Bill Laimbeer to school
  • Šar?nas Mar?iulionis impressively delivers the porn mustache AND a “tuck in” move
  • Chris Mullin being generally awesome

Sending the defending champion Pistons on their way out of Oakland with a four-game losing streak under their belt was also an enjoyable element of this game.
