The Sacramento Kings kept the Lakers’ pre-season losing streak alive with a 99-92 victory behind 16 points apiece from DeMarcus Cousins and new recruit Aaron Brooks.
For the Lakers, Howard’s line of 19 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in 33 minutes will certainly be more front-of-mind than the team’s 0-6 pre-season campaign to date.
Howard remained relatively tight-lipped about the status of his surgically repaired back post game, choosing the phrase “it’s pretty good” in reply to most questions on the subject. Quiet reactions from Dwight Howard have been rare over the past 12 months, so here’s hoping the big man is keen to talk less and play more.
Although nothing with Dwight is quite what it seems.
