Brandon Jennings connected on quite clearly the play of the game in Detroit’s 114-99 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday at Staples Center. On the fast break, Jennings swiftly flipped the ball off the glass to a trailing Andre Dummond who took care of the rest.
Great highlights in a convincing loss could be the story of a lot of Detroit’s games this season.
While there’s no doubt the Pistons have some great young talent in Jennings, Drummond, Greg Monroe and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (sweet name) they are hardly what you’d call a genuine playoff threat in the East.
With Las Vegas bookmakers setting the over/under on Piston regular season victories at 40.5 they are a slim chance… but something tells me we won’t be seeing the Motor City represented on an playoff commercials come April.
