It’s that time of the year again, where folks clamor
Former Celtics Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett made their first return to Boston on Sunday since joining the Brooklyn Nets. The TD Garden crowd gave the two Celtics heroes a great reception, fitting of the pair’s time spent and title win.

But it was the pre-game tribute to Pierce specifically that produced goosebumps for me. Regardless of who you follow, like or dislike in the NBA, check out the video below and tell me you don’t feel it.

A genuinely great gesture by the Celtics to a player than most NBA fans believe should have been a Celtic for life.
The Brooklyn Nets won the game 85-79 with neither Pierce or Garnett making a huge impression on the box score. Needless to say the impression they’ve left on the city of Boston is a huge one and the entire building let them know about it.
There’s no doubting what Paul Pierce’s time in Boston means to Celtics fans.
And that’s the truth.
