Ben Simmons put in yet another stellar performance on Wednesday night racking up 19 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and two steals in Philly’s 119-109 home victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Simmons and partner in crime Joel Embiid anchored the offense for the Sixers, taking almost a third of the team’s shots between them, connecting on over 53%.
Simmons closed out the contest with a thunderous jam, taking off the wrong leg and torquing his body in the air before finishing strong.
Holy moley is right.
Simmons is having an elite start to his NBA career, as everyone’s favorite Basketball Reference points out below.

Those averages are now a little higher, as are the hopes of Sixers fans as “The Process” is starting to yield (at the very least) a .500 record.
Ben Simmons is just the 3rd player over the last 25 years to record 5+ double-doubles in his first 8 games. pic.twitter.com/dazgJcY4UP
