4-MEMPHIS vs. 5-LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS

This first round series sees last year’s Playoff Cinderella, Memphis, meet this year’s sexy preseason pick. Memphis road a scorching defense and an unstoppable Zach Randolph to the conference semi-finals where they gave Oklahoma City everything they could handle in an epic seven game series, all without injured budding superstar Rudy Gay.

The Clippers had become a hot ticket on League Pass thanks to Blake Griffin and his nightly sexual assault of the rim. Combining Blake with off-season addition superstar Chris Paul, L.A’s “other” team immediately became legit contenders and the expectations for the Clippers flew sky high. Of course these are still the Clippers and Donald Stirling still owns the team, so something had to give. They cheaped out on a coach and made some silly decisions in building out the rest of the roster, meaning that on losing Chauncey Billups to a season and possibly career ending injury, the late season Clips are just not the mighty team they appeared to be on the verge of becoming.

That brings us finally to the first round series that everyone is talking about. Well at least the series that everyone should be talking about as these two teams are set to get very physical.
